Cyber Event
IKAD Engineering investigating online development in October
IKAD Engineering is currently investigating a cyber incident involving unauthorised access to a small portion of our internal IT systems by an unknown third party.
Following a detailed investigation into the incident with the assistance of cyber security experts, we have determined that some of our internal data was accessed. Impacted individuals and customers have been notified and we are committed to providing them with guidance and support.
We have now become aware that a cyber actor has named the company online and published files with claims these were obtained as part of this unauthorised access.
We understand this news may cause concern. IKAD is investigating this development as part of its ongoing response. With the support of external experts, we are conducting an urgent review of the data to determine if any customers or individuals who have not previously received a notification from us are impacted. If so, we will notify those customers and individuals accordingly.
We would like to assure you that we have secured our systems and put additional security measures in place to prevent reoccurrence. We are also working with experts from across the cyber security industry and have sophisticated monitoring in place to detect any further developments.
We have also notified the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC), Western Australia Police Force, Australian Federal Police, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and Defence Industry Security Program (DISP).
Please do not hesitate to contact IKAD if you have any questions.
