The expansion of IKAD operation, by moving into a further IKAD purpose built facility in Henderson at 82 Sparks Rd, Western Australia. This facility provided IKAD the capability for large scale heavy manufacturing.

Acquired the property at 32 Stuart Dve, Henderson. This acquisition allowed the company to gain a new capability being an exclusive non-ferrous fabrication facility. Established an office & workshop in Rozelle, Sydney giving the company a permanent footprint in support of our naval sustainment services on the east coast of Australia.

Moved into our own facility at 31 Stuart Dr, Henderson – which is now our machining, mechanical & District-3500 Facility. Achieved ISO-14001 & AS-4801 accreditation for IKAD’s environmental & safety management systems.

Established a Sydney Office & marine hotworks business unit in support of the Group Maintenance Contract IKAD had recently entered in order to support the navy with integrated services on both sides of the coast. Established a manufacturing business unit knowing that the company would be moving into a purpose build facility the following year.

One of the initial companies to enter into the Major Fleet Unit Group Maintenance Contract for the sustainment of the ANZAC Class vessels. This was a significant shift for how vessels were sustained in that the sustainment for a class of vessel for a period of time was covered under the one contract as opposed to individual vessels for singular sustainment activities.

IKAD became the Australasian Field Service Agents for Renk MAAG who are the OEM’s for the gearboxes on the ANZAC Class.

The leasing of IKAD’s first permanent facility on Quill Way in Henderson, Western Australia. Achieved ISO-9001 certification for Quality Management System.

With humble beginnings in a 20ft container on our client’s site, IKAD Engineering Pty Ltd was incorporated as a company.
