An excellent opportunity for training and development for a Trade Assistant to work as a part our Industrial Projects Team. Located in Henderson (no FIFO) you will be reporting to the the Project Supervisor to carry out your duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general hand and labouring duties.
  • Assist trades level employees directly with all aspects of work to be undertaken on a day to day basis.
  • Operate hand tools specifically grinders as required to undertake nominated tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workshop, machinery and tools, ensuring all tools and equipment are used and stored safely and correctly.
  • Complete all paperwork and computer records accurately and as required.
  • Undertake any other duties, accountabilities and responsibilities as directed.
  • Utilise all safety equipment, tools and machinery in accordance with processes.
  • Continually work with the team to engage in internal training provided to obtain the appropriate skills and experience to safely and competently perform and evolve with the role.
  • Assist trades level employees in the performance of fault/maintenance diagnostic, compiling test data for reporting, identifying abnormalities in test results, suspected non-conformance and solution finding.

Essential

  • Previous Trade Assistant experience essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of power tools
  • Willingness to learn and be flexible with duties
  • Proven strong work ethic and reliability
  • Willingness to work overtime
  • Eagerness to learn and work with a small team with adaptability to various tasks required
  • Forklift ticket, Dogman, Rigger ticket required (desirable)
  • Overhead Crane ticket (desirable)
